Kajun, transom saver (motor-toter) DID fail...he said it was bent 90*...

MJ, he's gonna turn it in as an insurance claim, then sell the boat after it's repaired...

I told him if I'd walked around behind my boat and saw that damage, I'd have PUKED!!... :P ...

Sorry to hear that.
I had a little mishap with my lil' Bonito early one Sunday morn while towing it to the ramp. I had it behind a new F-150...I thought to myself .."Wow, this truck pulls the boat like it's nuttin'."...then I checked the rear view mirror to see my Bonito sliding sideways down the middle of the street. :-[ I slammed on the brakes, threw it in reverse, backed the trailer to it, hooked up and winched it fast as I could. The motor was locked in the up position and the hull suffered only a few scratches. Can't blame anyone but me. Seems after powering it on the tralier I neglected to connect the hook.

I saw a guy once unlatch his bow hook at the boat ramp before backing in. His trailer had rollers and the whole boat rolled right off the trailer onto the boat ramp on a busy saturday afternoon.

Years ago before the V20 I had a 17 footer and the same thing almost happened to me!!

My friend saw it going and jumped on the trailer and grabed the bow and was yelling!! I hit the gas and hit the water, Boat was a rocket into the water.

We laugh now, But I have never forgotten that!! And its a good thing!! I have a brand new Load Rite roller and the V slides off that thing so fast its not funny!!

Always very careful when i am unloading the boat at the ramp!!
