Long time lurker, newish owner. My wife and I pulled the trigger on our neighbors 1990 v20. The boat was her husbands who passed away 4 years ago and the boat sat in her garage where it sat since. Before that we ran our 17ft alumacraft on the columbia, great boat, we thought she sold the wellcraft soon after he died. The moment we found out it was still in her garage we pulled the trigger. The boat was babied heavily, she has a 2001 optimax with a rebuilt powerhead/ecu paired with a 2008 Yamaha t8, brand new soft top, just a clean and beautiful well kept boat. So hello from the northwest! We look forward to hitting the columbia for fresh spring salmon and sharing pictures and info with all of you! What a wealth of knowledge on these unique boats here!
EDIT: sorry for the sideways pictures, stretch those necks! |

Hah, another Columbus River guy***128512;. Where are you located? I'm out just west of Portland. Mine's an '85 I/O but I did a litttle fishing with a Camas guy with an outboard.
If you decide to set it up with a rocking chair anchor, let me know. I've done mine and might have some useful ideas about getting the sliding hatches out of the way. You can email me at Scott at cookconst dot net. Welcome to the site.

The boat in the pictures is my V21. They (Wellcraft) put a "bubble" on the stern of the boat to hang the engine from. It's not a bracket, it's actually a factory made part of the transom. That's how they get to call the boat a V21 instead of a V20. Kind of like modern day boats with "Mediterranean" swim platforms molded in. The makers add 2 feet of swim platform molded in and get to call a 19 foot boat a 21 footer.
