Basically they have just proposed to make all semi-automatic weapons, as well as most shotguns, illegal.

"There are none so blind, as those that will not see". These "model citizens" would take away guns from legal, law abiding people, in the hopes that they will reduce gun violence in their state. If these draconian measures are passed I will be willing to bet right now that in a year from now the deaths by guns in that state will not have significantly reduced from it's present 2800 per year, and I'll further bet that violent crimes commited by criminals will have increased in that same time period.

And if they are honest enough to even admit that their laws did not work, their a$$ine response will be to even further restrict guns, never once making the connection that guns protect better than their stupid useless laws.

(I also find it funny that in this august group of people standing on that stage there are at least 3 people that are carrying sidearms to protect themselves and the people around them. What a bunch of hypocrites).

ironically from a state that doesn't seem to think that wearing a motorcycle helmet is helpful and splitting lanes between cars to pass while on a motorcycle is perfectly fine. Someone said maybe we could trade California to China to pay off our debt, i think if they are stupid enough to take the deal we need to go for it. It would raise the average intelligence of the American public just by eliminating them from the pool.

Eventually these socialists are going to force people over the edge. It is coming. I don't know when or where but something bad is going to happen.
You can't have a free people dictated to by a government. We have that now, even though it is supposedly a Constitutional Republic the restrictions on government imposed by the Constitution mean nothing to these people and eventually something very bad will happen. They know that, that is why the big push for the gun seizures right now.
Cannot obtain compliance with draconian taxes, regulations and laws with a population of armed "We The People" running around acting like a Constitution exists.
