Thumbs up Ambrose

Hit the Ambrose Saturday morning on the out going, picked away at 20 fish, with three keepers, 20, 21, and 22 inches. Once the tide changed it died. Bait was, Snappers and Gulp, all the shorts were caught in 50+' of water and the three keepers were caught in 28', right off the channel. All the shorts were from 18-19 inches. Went back to the bay before the weather changed, wind picked up and the black clouds came over, well it didn't change and we got nothing on the incoming. There wasn't even a drift, everything just died, so we packed it in.

Default Fluke

Yes they are, especially with the water temp hitting 80. Go to deeper water, work the drops of the channels. Good luck!!!

17 fish between 18" & 19"? Man, I guess I should run north. I've only got 7 keepers (17.5" in NJ) all season out of Manasquan and I fish alot.

Nice catch. Too bad you can't keep those fish in NY.

Good day at the Ambrose channel, when the tide ran out it was a little bumpy but a lot of fish managed to get four keepers.

If you launched from Belmar - that was another nice boat ride.

Haven't fished my boat in at least 3 weeks, hope to soon, maybe Saturday.
