Ambrose

Hit the Ambrose Saturday morning on the out going, picked away at 20 fish, with three keepers, 20, 21, and 22 inches. Once the tide changed it died. Bait was, Snappers and Gulp, all the shorts were caught in 50+' of water and the three keepers were caught in 28', right off the channel. All the shorts were from 18-19 inches. Went back to the bay before the weather changed, wind picked up and the black clouds came over, well it didn't change and we got nothing on the incoming. There wasn't even a drift, everything just died, so we packed it in.

I think I will give it a try tomorrow [wow last day of July] seems to me the fluke are starting on their way out!:head:

Fluke
Yes they are, especially with the water temp hitting 80. Go to deeper water, work the drops of the channels. Good luck!!!

Nice catch. Too bad you can't keep those fish in NY. |
Good day at the Ambrose channel, when the tide ran out it was a little bumpy but a lot of fish managed to get four keepers.:fight:
