Default Power Loss ?

My 94' 150 Ocean Pro has been running fine this season, except for the fact that I was only getting 4500 RPM (31 MPH )on the Tach. I let my tanks go to almost empty for the first time and all of a sudden my Tach goes to 5200 but the engine sounds weak only 30 MPH, even when doing 2000 RPM sounds quiet and weak but all the while running pretty smooth. It did stall a couple of times though when idling in nuetral. Could this be the water seperator ? I changed it at the beginnimng of season

I am in no way an expert but it sounds like some sort of fuel delivery problem to me. Possibly and pinched fuel line or maybe pinhole somewhere that is sucking air.

sounds like mine, remove the drain plugs on the bottom of the float bowls, & look straight in the high speed jet to see if its clean,or spray carb cleaner through the jet.you should see it squirt up into the center of the carb.good luck.
