Default Primer Solenoid issue

So, the primer solenoid in my 84 Evinrude 150 was leaking. I bought the repair kit as suggested. Went to install it last night and got it put back together and all of a sudden the choke doesn't work and the motor won't start.

First indication that there was an issue was when I pushed the key in and didn't hear a "click". It had been clicking before and now it doesn't. I checked everything over and over and I put everything back like it was. Seems as though there is a ground wire connected to the bottom of the primer solenoid. I got that connected back up. I think it was the only wire I had any interaction with. Please help!!!
