Weather forecast was for the winds to be West @ 11knots @ 4am Sunday morning and switch hard out of the SW by 9am :o. So the trip was planned accordingly, find a spot that we can hide from the west wind and tell the wives we will be home by 10am (that was a mistake :-/).
Woke up around 03dark thirty, and not a breeze in the air. By the time we were @ the ramp it was blowing out of the west, but not as bad as forecasted. * Anchored up @ a little reef off of Jamestown RI and it was like we were sitting on a mirror, absolutely beautiful. *Schools of poggies are starting to flush out of the bay and they were breaking all around us with schools of snapper blues and bass smacking them around. Landed 1 nice bass for the grill with in the 1st ½ hour and then everything went silent. If we did not have the families waiting on the front stoops to go to the beach @ 10, we could have moved around but we decided to keep every one happy and head in after catching a few blue fish for the lobster pots. Boy them bass love bunker *;D ![]() Beach ended up being perfect until around 1:30 - me and my girls: ![]() Side note, I have caught more bass over 30lbs behind that rock then any were else. (ssshhh don't tell any one ;))
