| New guy checkin in...

Hey guys, I have just broke the news over at ClassicMako.com so next step is to introduce myself here. I have had 2 classic Makos for the last 17 years. The first one was a '75 236 inboard, next one was a '79 235 with twin Yammies. I was ready to downsize a little and the ONLY boat that would fit the bill was a V20 center console. I found a really nice '78 with a 2.4 Merc. The boat is solid but the transome will need attn in a couple years. I am familiar with Makos, but not so much with Wellcrafts. I did grow up with a cuddy model back in the early 80s--perfect boat for the lower Chesapeake. Well I have started with new steering, sanding the teak, removing all the old boot stripes and decals. I am looking forward to getting this thing wet, have a few projects first though. Iam curious about this model with the forward seating, I have never seen this. Was this an option or did they make these for just a couple years? Anyway, here are pics-- |

welcome to the cult, i am sure with your mako background, you are familar with the sickness. i have always wanted an inboard mako after seeing jaqueline bisset dive off one in "The Deep". i am not that familar with the center consoles and layouts, but you can look through the different years in the gallery and probaly get some more info.
