New tarp frame
Anybody wanna start a pool as to the exact date this winter that this falls down or blows off?
  I still have a few pieces to add but you should get the idea. I have yet to make it thru a winter without having to deal with tarp problems. Usually it's water or ice pooling and pulling down the whole tarp. Hopefully this will prevent that from happening. I wanted to get some pix of the frame before I put the tarp on but my "help" was heading to the mall so I had to hurry. PVC frame rails sit inside lip in cockpit and toerail at the rear and at the bow I zip tied split tee fittings to the bow rail.

Looks pretty darn good to me Monkey! One of my buddies from Oxford made a quanset type hut for his 18 ft Whaler just like you built except on the ground. He made a floor frame out of 2x6's and drilled a bunch of holes in the wood the lenghtwise for the PVC pipe tubes. That thing is still up today and he still parks his boat under it. I do believe he never had any problems with that "bow type" set-up. I say you may have a winner there. Just keep "tight lines" as they say.

I'm impressed! My system involves tying a clothes line to the bow rail and wrapping it around both rear cleats and crossing it in the middle with a prop pole. It looks like a triangle with a line through it when I'm done. I have done it this way for the last 3 years without a collapse.

I dunno monkey, you might should have put a spine down the middle with pvc too. I think if there is a weak point, it'll be a front to back failure, like dominos. Other than that, it looks strong as heck. It's a very strong shape. We use something similar here at the marina to cover some of our work racks. It was relatively cheap, about 9 grand for ours, but it is huge. We don't really have to worry about the snow and ice, but this thing is rated for up to 115mph winds with the top on! And it only took four of us to put it up!
