Default Anyone know anything about the ford 4.2 v-6?

I just did a cam synch install and now I have no oil pressure. I have not verified it with a mechanical gauge but it taps as if the rockers are not oiling.

I did recheck and the oil pump drive shaft is inserted correctly but it seems a strange coincidence for the pump or sensor to go bad while working on something else.

Anybody?

does that motor use the distributor to run the oil pump? if so are you sure the distributor is seated all the way and into the oil pump.

The cam synch runs the oil pump, similar to a distributor. I am positive it is seated all the way.
