Default 1999 Optimax 135

When I was having my V20 preped to be launched for the season my local Mercury dealer notified me that the fuel cooler line had burst and the fuel cooler needed to be replaced.

I had never heard of a fuel cooler on a outboard before. I assume this is to prevent vapor lock due to high temperatures under the engine cowling. Has anyone else had any experience with this? The dealer told me the line bursts due to the high pressure (90 psi) in the fuel line. ???

I'll ask jaysea tommorrow. He has twin optis on his 26 proline.

Well at least they are twin mercs. :D

Was only tryin to help da joisey guy out. ;D

That'll teach the newbies not to ask Seakindly anything about Mercs. ::)
