| kicker motor and trim tabs question.

just wondered if anyones' stepv has a kicker motor and trim tabs.i'm picking up a kicker motor mount today but started wondering if it would have enough clearance of the trim tab.

Since you are picking it up today, not much reaction time from the guys here..make sure you can return the bracket if this one doesn't clear and maybe find a longer bracket...

how effective are those trim tabs at that location? I would think they may be more effective toward the chine more, only judging by the photo. never used any yet.

Mine has all kind of clearance. When the motor goes down and levels out I probably have at least 8" clearance. On a side note I'll never be without trim tabs with a kicker motor, it makes it so easy to trim the boat with the extra weight hanging back there. BC |

yeah,it doesn't take alot of adjustment on the trim tabs to level out the boat or bring the bow up or down.like ailerons on a plane.
