cut out a large hole then set back in the dash with built box and install new gauges then lay a piece of lexan over the gauges hole and trim out with teak.

If you are happy with the height and design of your console then cut out the entire top flat panel and replace it with lexan or plywood and glass over it. This is likely easier, better and quicker than trying to fix what you have.

Why can't you just fill the old holes with new gauges? Most are of common size.

When redoing old gauge consoles, I always use Starboard.

Just cut out the old & insert the Starboard then design the layout you want & cut the new holes.... Works good.... BlueH2O |
