MJ Update!!
Hey there!!
ScupGirl here!! Mj is doing pretty darn well. All his wounds are healed. Hes finally starting to cheer up and kick his butt in gear! He can successfully transfer from his bed to a wheelchair using a slide board (a glossy piece of wood that he sits on and glides himself across). Hes FINALLY able to eat solid food (although I bring him regular food 3 days a week, the nursing rehab has had him on a soft diet consisting of ground beef basically all day everyday) But most of all today at physical therapy, I got to me my father the Maco Man, Macojoe, MJ, Papa WALK!!! I assisted in helping him stand and he uses what kind of looks like a very tall walker. He uses his forearms to help hold his weight and walks. Hes doing about 10-15 steps at a time!!! It's been almost a year since he has taken a single real step. He was even talking about my wedding (which is on hold until he can walk much better because he needs to dance with me!) I want to thank you guys for all of your support over the years. And thank you to everyone that has reached out to Mj on a personal level. Your thoughts, prayers and words are very much appreciated!! Hey Amanda,
Thanks for the update and what great news that he’s walking. I can’t think of better motivation to work hard at PT than dancing with his daughter at her wedding  Thanks again - we’re all with you guys.
