| Yamaha Hours

Looking for a replacement for the Johnson and found this. http://norfolk.craigslist.org/boa/989771584.html Looks like a good price but that is some serious hours on there already. What can I expect to get out of that block? Is there anyway to pull the info on what the hours were at as far as RPM? -Svence

850 hours isn't alot of hours really. MOST carbed 2 strokes can run for 2,000+ hours with basic maintence and care without any major problems. Engines that sit actually tend to have MORE problems than engines with regular useage. If you break it down over 5 years that comes out to 170 hours a year, or a little over 14 hours a month.

Well you know that his new motor is going on soon so he might make you a deal as it gets much harder for him to sell if he cannot demo. I think the guages/controls will run more than a couple of hundred. Her is the moble repair guys info I talked about in your other thread. Barry Beachum 397-4643 not sure if his number is still good.
