Default Yamaha Hours

Looking for a replacement for the Johnson and found this.

http://norfolk.craigslist.org/boa/989771584.html

Looks like a good price but that is some serious hours on there already. What can I expect to get out of that block? Is there anyway to pull the info on what the hours were at as far as RPM?

850 hours isn't alot of hours really. MOST carbed 2 strokes can run for 2,000+ hours with basic maintence and care without any major problems. Engines that sit actually tend to have MORE problems than engines with regular useage. If you break it down over 5 years that comes out to 170 hours a year, or a little over 14 hours a month.

Worth $3500? Plus another couple hundred for cables/controls/gauges.

Well you know that his new motor is going on soon so he might make you a deal as it gets much harder for him to sell if he cannot demo. I think the guages/controls will run more than a couple of hundred. Her is the moble repair guys info I talked about in your other thread. Barry Beachum 397-4643 not sure if his number is still good.
