Default V20 inboard

I was looking at the 1974 catalog and noticed that an inboard center console model was produced that year . I was wondering if anyone out there has one or has seen one . That would be great with a small diesel . You could run all day on 30-40 gal . I have seen I/O's but not straight inboards . http://www.wellcraftv20.com/gallery/...can0023_Medium

at first I thought it was not mounted amidships enough to give the true ride benefits from an inboard but then I realized that they have to have moved the fuel tank forward in the hull to do it.

My thoughts, exactly. Even with the tank in front of the center console, it looks like it might be a little heavy in the back, especially with a couple burly fishermen sitting behind the console. Move that console to more amidship and I bet it would be sweet.

Sorry to disagree, but......................... It can't be any more tail heavy than an I/O boat!!!

It looks like if theyed moved the engine an console forward about 2 feet it would plane out better. Maybe trim tabs were an option, they would have helped. Ive never seen one but Id like too!Sharp looking boat though!

I already run all day on 30 gallons.

That is an interesting design for the prop.
