Default Anyone had a Chance to try one of these?

I am wondering if anyone has had a chance to play with one of these before. Just stole this one off Ebay and was wondering how well it works or not. Looks like fun though.

For those who don't know what it does here's a video

If you get more than a final decision on what prop may work on your boat let me know. When I first seem them introduced that was the only thing I felt they were good for. Playing is not only informative but wonderful.

There supposed to be really good for high speed boats that have problems getting on plane. I've heard of some problems with the sliders for the shifting mechanism wearing prematurely.

2we ran them on several boats back when they first came out, they really supprised us on how well they worked( especially on high performace boats), but its something to tinker with constantly, we allways took the adjustment wrench and a spare set of springs with us, started carring a spare blade after a friend of ours slung one off his hydrostream. Know of a couple of guys that ran them in salt, they would have to dissasemble them after every trip to get the sand and crud out so they would work correctly. They are a neat concept if you like to play with stuff, but its not for everyone, We had a rash of rod failures on sevral different boats that the only thing they had in common were they had torque shift props on them, don't know if they caused teh problem( unloading the crank while the prop was shifting?), but some one else( my boss) made the decision to pull them off everything and not to sell them anymore, don't know if they were the cause or not
