Default Removed the Helm seat

The helm seat has always been in my way. i find i stand alot when behind the wheel and the seat always hit me right in the back of my legs.. had a seat you could adjust back just not far enough for me... So i took it up and ck. the floor for rot looks fine, and put this cooler from another boat with a padded seat, also got some of that rug stopper from the Depot so i wont move when you dont want it to but easy to adjust, works great just no backrest. if i need to rest back just turn to the side panel. Now i got a hole gotta fill. Always something to tweak... Z

Looks like you have a Norton Snagger on your steering wheel too! I love those knobs man. Every boat I have from here on will definitely have the NS Knob ;) Makes life so much easier and frees up my other hand for more important things - like beer - when making tight turns. ;D

Zebra, I need to do the same thing. Just curious, do those 6 screws have nuts on the back side ? Mine arent budging. Just wondering whether I should try a little harder - or bite the bullet and start drilling off the screw heads. Thanks

Yep i love my Norton Snagger nothin like havin your hand on that knob, the control you have is just great when your comin into the ramp. Yes the screws had nuts and washers on the backside of the pedestal i drilled them out. Ya see that black cover on the side panel, think i'm gonna widen out the hole and use one of those hatch covers on the floor. You guys see that cover on the top of my sterring thats my fill tube for my hyd. sterring anyone else have that...Z

I had a hole under my seat as well, I cut it open and put a 4" deck cover on it.
