Default need i/o v-8 engine compartment  pictures

Hi,is there anyone out there that could help me with some pitures of there i/o v-8 or v-6 motor mount base?I have a '86 V20 with the 470 4cly.I am trying to convert to a v6 or v8.Supprisingly, there is very little info for the conversion.I would like to install "L" brackets to the sides of engine compartment with a crossbrace in between (like my old glastron). Not sure if the box is strong enough. Any pitures would be deeply appreciated.
Thanks Tim

Just fill the transom hole, add a 25 gal gas tank were the motor was, bolt a bracket and a 150 or better outboard, and end your misery for ever!

O yea welcome to the site!

Motor mounts are bolted directly into the top of the stringers. I'll try and get a few pics for ya.

Welcome to the site. ;)
Why do you want to do so much beefing up on the engine support. Stringers rotted ?

Hi,thanks for the replies.I appreciate the help.My engine compartment does not have stringers. It had a merc. 470(front engine mount). After looking at pics.I see I will have to add stringers, stay with crappy 4 cyl. or go w/ outboard conversion. My '77 glastron(302w/volvo 280)the motor mounts were attached to the sides of the engine compartment with a cross brace.I will checkout the pics in the repair section. Again thanks everyone for the help Tim.

Well, this isn't a V20, but I think the V20's were made from the same mold. *The hull construction is different, there are no stringers except to support the deck so blocks were added to bolt the motor to. *The picture was taken to show off some new wiring but you can see a motor mount in the back.
