Default shakedown ride

My father and i had bought our V20 from my uncle in janruary. been doing plenty of work on it to get it to our standards. so we finally got it to the water about 30 minutes from our house. man it was great the water was flat not even a ripple.. get the plug in the boat release the straps as soon as the trailer wheels hit the water.. rain.. so we decided to fight the rain.. go to release the power winch break.. the brake drive breaks.
so now the winch is useless. we had to tie the boat down with ratchet straps chains and ropes.. haha made the drive home wet and dissapointed.. what type of winches are you all runing.. hand or power?

I've got a PowerWinch 912. Works like a charm. As for the sex swing, I'll defer to Hammer, the master of such matters ;D

Lots of choices:single speed get a dual drive, two speed is great on bad angle ramps and consider the weight of boat, motor, etc, etc.
