| Suzuki 140 prop?

After reviewing recent and past posts I'm thinking of repowering the V with a Suzuki 140. Prop Wizard wasn't very helpful this time around. What prop is working best for you 140 users?

14 x 21 p aluminuminum is working great for me, I have also run a 14 x 19 p aluminuminum that I keep for water skiing. You will love that motor!!!!!! |

My Johnzuki 140 pushes my V @ 40 mph with a light load at full throttle and gets about 5 mpg at cruise.

Thanks Randlemeister. *I hoped you would give you $.02. *I called the local Suzuki dealer 3 miles from my house and he quoted me $13,500 for the whole DF140 package and install. *I called a dealer 120 miles away in Oregon (where there is no sales tax) and the price for the same package but including hydraulic steering is $10,500. *I'll call him back tomorrow and finalize the deal, but it looks like I have a little road trip in my near future.

To bad your engine let go during the season, in the off season you can find the 140 SUZUKI's marked down quite a bit. Also, another member here just repowered with a 150 for about the same money your talking for the 140. Might be worth looking into the 150 and 175 just to see, might not be much more.

Somewhere recently I saw a Suzi 140 for $6300.00 new. *I'm sure that was without prop, controls, idiot lights, tax. Find a cheep one online and stick it on yosef. *It's not that hard, I have put mine on twice. One suggestion, you have to have the idiot lights (also known as the system monitoring lights, or something like that) to make it run, get the tach with the built in idiot lights, its about the same price, or was, and it is one less hole in the dash. |
