Default 1975 v20 rebuild

started a rebuild on a 1975 v20. Boat will be completely gutted and new everything including new transom, stringers, floor, flip cap and recore. Here are a few pics of it now. Transom is going in this week. Boat will be fully rebuilt with a full transom and a 24inch transom bracket with swim platform. And powered with a new four stroke probably a f200.

Welcome to the forum and we can't wait to see your progress. Nice pics. What are you using in the new transom that doesn't look like wood?

Can't wait to see your progress. I have the same hull with plans to start a rebuild this fall. Really interested in your choice of going with a flat transom with the coosa board. i had planned on seacast to keep the curve.

Is the 75 rated for that heavy of an OB? My 87 is rated for 235hp but when comparing the weight of 2 strokes to 4 strokes I don't think I can go above 150hp when I get to that stage. Mine had a 200hp Yamaha 2 stroke on it when I got it but sadly it was beyond salvaging so a new means of propulsion will be in my future as well.

Transom work looks good!
