1975 v20 rebuild 5 Attachment(s) started a rebuild on a 1975 v20. Boat will be completely gutted and new everything including new transom, stringers, floor, flip cap and recore. Here are a few pics of it now. Transom is going in this week. Boat will be fully rebuilt with a full transom and a 24inch transom bracket with swim platform. And powered with a new four stroke probably a f200. |

Welcome to the forum and we can't wait to see your progress. Nice pics. What are you using in the new transom that doesn't look like wood? |

Can't wait to see your progress. I have the same hull with plans to start a rebuild this fall. Really interested in your choice of going with a flat transom with the coosa board. i had planned on seacast to keep the curve. |

Is the 75 rated for that heavy of an OB? My 87 is rated for 235hp but when comparing the weight of 2 strokes to 4 strokes I don't think I can go above 150hp when I get to that stage. Mine had a 200hp Yamaha 2 stroke on it when I got it but sadly it was beyond salvaging so a new means of propulsion will be in my future as well. Transom work looks good! |
