Default Sleighride to the Cayman's article

I'm not sure if this has been posted here before, but I came across this article from OLE at Parker Marine in FL.

Thumbs up

Several years back when someone asked about going to Bimini I had mentioned hearing of someone going to the Caymans on a V-20.

Cool to hear it wasn't just BS.

With today's technology, fuel efficient engines, and drones to fly to check out unfamiliar waters ahead seems like this could be done a lot more easily today. With restrictions on Cuba opening up, jumping straight from the Keys to the north coast of Cuba and then on to the Yucatan and central America is in the future.

Bradford, I was thinking the same thing. Looking at the map in the article it would seem to be a huge reduction in distance and certainly within range of a V20 or V21, especially with modern engines and electronics.

And I gotta admit that I like that twin 85's setup. If they could do it back then, why not now?

Navigating those dangerous shallow waters with a compass, running low on fuel and daylight! I'd be scared to freakin death. Those young farts!
