Pots are in the water
I got the V in the water last week and put the lobster pots in Saturday morning. Hopefully check them tomorrow for the first time this season. If I have the same luck as last year we will be having lobster about twice a week.

My biggest problem is that two of my kids would eat it everyday of the week. Last year my ten year old was complaining, "I haven't eaten lobster in three days!" I remember when I was a kid and maybe we would get some once a summer.
Checking the pots with the kids is fun. You never know what you are going to bring up. spider crabs blue crabs hermit crabs fluke tatog scup and really tasty lobsters

Isn't that the way. Even my friends around town have asked when they can come over for dinner.
Sean - I don't know the RI laws but in Mass it is a $40 permit for 10 pots. Mass Dept of Marine Fisheries handles it. Good luck. Striper racks make great bait. I try to save as many bluefish I can for bait as well.

I use to run pots here on the Cape, but I fish all around and sometimes not get to the pots for a while so I got rid of them.
You got to ck every 3 days at least or they start killing each other! I use to bring them to work, Chicken's and sel for $5 each, People hated it when I stoped!! I would eat like 2 a year, My mom would eat every day, wife once a week. I am a Clam man, nothing better then a good old Clam Boil!!
