Default Is this boat overpriced?

http://www.jaxyachtsales.com/pre_own...R0&veh=1718367

I'm in Northeast Florida. This boat is very well kept, but has no trailer. The broker has a suitable trailer (used aluminum) available for $1,300. What is a fair offer? It doesn't look much better than Willy's for $4500 or the '87 for $4,700. But it's 1 mile away, not in Jersey. Any help from the experts?

Make him a reasonable cash offer and tell him to throw the trailer in on the deal.

Actually, my offer today of $5000 was sourly rejected by the seller, who I have not met (consignment). There is no trailer, as it has been in dry storage. I'm not really prepared to go over $6500 for the boat and trailer. The broker and I agree that the seller is being unreasonable and could've at least counter-offered.

The more time I spend on this forum, the more I like the v20. I plan on primarily diving, but also fishing and entertaining the family. I haven't seen a more roomy boat.

I just picked up my v20 2 months ago which is also an 88, but mine has an 05 motor with less than 200 hours , and included a trailer for less than what he is asking for that.

That boat does look pretty clean though.....I think thats the original back to back lounge seat which looks pristine which means the rest probably is too.

It really amazes me how cheap used boats sell for. I mean if you didnt know there were boats on every corner selling for 3-4k you'd look at a nice 20' boat with big old motor on the back and think it looks like 6k worth of material...when I tell people that have no exposure to boats or used boat market that my boat only cost 4K they are amazed you can get something so big for so little.

I'd say it is a bit high.

Give him til December to stew and then offer him $4K.

Default How about this one?

This gentleman is asking $4400. 1984 w/ 1984 Johnson 150. It comes with the trailer. It needs new wiring IMO & has no electronics. The engine was rebuilt about 1 yr ago. Kind of a blank slate. My wife doesn't think it looks too hot. Trying to tell her to be patient. The floors and transom are sturdy. There are some small stress cracks at the corners of the hatches in the floor -- is this a problem? Plan on mostly diving, so I'm not concerned about the lack of rod holders. The windshields a little loose on the passenger side - I guess just put bigger screws in? There is no door to the cabin - is it missing or was there never one on this model?

Also, is this where the battery normally sits? Does it just push back under the transom? Should I run two batteries if I were to rewire it?
