Default non skid coating???

What is the best, most durable way, to cover a newly fiberglassed/polester resin --bow deck--20 foot v20...It is an old boat in decent shape but im not really concerned about gloss or shine..i need a very durable non skid coating...im just concerned about duribility and traction as my father sometimes goes up there when he uses the boat...thanks so much

durabak, and when they say nonskid, they mean it

when you order, see if they offer some free rollers, if they do, take as many as you can get, you don't need the big rollers, just the small ones

I used the light gray and it came out great!! if you fall on the non skid, you need to be sitting!

How rough is it? I need to do something on the floor but the wife and kids like to go barefoot when tubing and joy riding.

Richie,
I shot my deck with Gelcoat and air brush it with glass beads, its not agressive on ones bare feet at all, and very much non skid. I am sure you can use it with whatever paint you go with also, Shoot me a PM if you like and I can mail you some for a test on a piece of wood.

Default non slip coating

i redecked my 74 and after the glass i covered it with a bed liner product called grizzly grip. It can be found online. I used white. it is very wear / stain resistant and washable. i love it. the product i bought was of the aliphatic type. hope this helps

rfg, i took a look at the grizzly grip and like the fact that you can vary the grip. did you have to use the primer on glass?

I did not have to use any primer. my rebuild was fresh so i wiped the fresh resin with xylol then a quick sand with 100 grit. the sanding is not nessacary but it wont hurt for an extra 20 min work. I have 2 seasons on it now with no regrets. no stains no yellowing and very washable even blood as i fish my boat. And the texture is easy on the feet no shoes required. Also it was very easy to apply i just masked my area rolled it on and removed the masking while it was wet. I think it is a great product for boat use
