Default Looking for a simple GPS...

I'm looking for a simple GPS, like a Garmin 126 / 128. Don;t need a chartplotter unit. Want to mount it in my radio box to interface with other items up top. Would prefer a small fixed mount that will show output in TD's, thats why I mentioned the Garmin units. Small, cheap, black and white. If you have one in the garage or see one on craigslist, let me know.

Thanks,

Saw this on THT this morning. Probably a bigger unit then you want but the price isn't to bad for a color unit.

There was a garmin 128 grey scale unit on THT for $100 but it has sold.

If I see something else I'll post it here.

A Furuno GP32 is also good for what you're looking for.

I just took off a garmin 216 my boat yesterday. It looks like this one:

I am not sure if I will still use the external attenna or even if I would be able to remove it (cable runs up the arch). I got the cable and manual.

Let me know if you are interested at all.

Is yours a 215. or a 216? I can't find anything on a 216? I may be interested as it looks like it would fit the bill. PM me a price. Was hoping to find a simple unit without mapping, but I can't be too choosy...

Thanks,

That was a typo, probably a 215 (I need to look at it at home to be sure). I have no idea how much it is worth.

If you tell me how much money you had set aside, I will just add another 10 bucks for good will...

or maybe 50 bucks would be good enough.

Edit to add: It will barely fit. check your pm's

Going to measure tonight to make sure it fits. Do you know if there is a screen that can display position in LARGE numbers?

Thanks,

Don't think it had an "old age" setting...

Here's the link to the manual:
