BGA, it's a swim platform, not a bracket, LOL. I would mount it high enough to clear the outdrive in it's full trim up position for obvious reasons. In reality, the platform needs to be out of the water when at rest. You need to anchor up somewhere calm and measure the the distance from the top of the transom to the water level, then give it a few more inches. Then trim all the way up and see if you still have clearance. I'm willing to bet your outdrive will stick out of the water somewhat.
