Default Re: Set to splash on Saturday!!

Went out again today, sorry no pics this time. Rode around for about an hour with the foster daughter. She had a great time. I did most of my cruising at 3000 rpm, still breaking in the gear box. I clocked about 28 mph GPS at those turns.

When I went to haul out, the ramp was super busy. It was an unbelievable site. I had to wait to moor up just to get the truck, then I had to wait in line to dunk the trailer, then I had to wait for the idiots who just splashed to get out of the way, then the idiots that were next to my truck lost control of the stern of there boat after splashing in and totally ruined my approach. I ended up looking like an idiot, but I didn't run into anything. In my desperation to get out of the chaos, I forgot to trim up, and just as I looked back and noticed my skeg hanging down, it hit. What a day!

The Coasties showed up just before I got the trailer in, great big huge RHI on a three axle trailer. They obviously are not familiar with this ramp. The end of the ramp is clearly marked, and it drops off 22" once the pavement ends. Guess what? Yep, you guessed it, over the edge it went. Well they just put the gas to the 1 ton dually Chebbie and yanked that sucker out. They messed up the trailer a little bit, I didn't hang around to see how bad.
