How cold is it where you are ? * I used the Bix (from Home Depot - *"Spray on Stripper" in the orange colored can - not the Tuff Job) .... *and found that it didnt work well in colder temps. * If I can remember - *you really want the temp to be above 65 deg, or so. * It worked great for me - *spray it on - *wait 20 min - *scrape off gooey mess with plastic tool. *The gelcoat will be stained by the paint .... and there wil be no way to remove that *.... *but with some sanding.

Give that stuff a try on a warm, 80 deg day .... and I dont think you will have any problems removing thick bottom paint.
