Default Re: what it seems to me

It may seem thought less to give gift cards but to me I had rather receive a gift card from someone who isn't around me a lot, or knows what I am into. Some one just recently gave me a new rod and a stretch 30 lure, these gifts will be used and charished for many years to come, but had that person not known me very well I could have gotten another pair of socks. Dont get me wrong, I need socks too.

I prefer to give a gift instead of a card but when shopping for some one who has everything I had rather give a gift card to a store where I think they can find something they will like. That way they can get what it is they want and not what I think they want.

In the past I have gotten both socks and gift cards and thought highly of both. If it weren't for the gift of socks I would not have any now, since they are not what I think about when I walk into Wal-mart or Gander Mountian. I may sound as if I am contradicting myself, but what I am saying is its more important that you are thought of enough to have some one spend there hard earned money on you then what they give you. It's the thought that counts.
