Re: greenbackville
Thanks Lance Jim pruitt is another pearl. For you uninformed yes Greenbackville does exist. It right on the VA Md line litterally. I am told it got its name because during the war between the north and south confederate $ was exchanged for yankee $ or more likely goods were exchanged for greenbacks. Greenbackville is a great little harbor originally built to support local waterman. At present waterman still ply there trade but a few sport boats operate out of the Harbor. ie Topless run by Capt perry Romig top notch offshore capt, Reel riot a 40 plus foot hatteras and my little 27 footer "Magic Dragon fishing charters.
Decent restaurant at harbors end not five star but at least you will not starve. Whats really nice is the cost am ashamed to post what I pay for a slip annually but
I thought there was a mistake when I signed my lease six years ago. The best part is the fishing the area around chincoteague may be the beast fishing on the east coast apart from Fla. Great flounder fishing lots of offshore wrecks and short run to the tuna grounds the downside its about 30 min to the inlet but senic. For you guys not familiar with the area you might want to check out the Daybreak fishing web site.
