OK, here's an update. Motor now has 100 hours on it. It has not missed a beat. Fuel consumption is still low and the motor runs easier (picks up rpm quicker).

A note aout the V-20.
It has been blowing like stink for three weeks here in the Keys, and the few crab pots I have must be attended. The V-20 is dryer than I thought it would be. I can always find a speed/direction that gives a smooth ride, and still get to the grounds in a reasionable time. I am pleased. But those of you with V-20s knew these boats are good already.
The only fault is the wash over the stern, and part of that is my fault for not raising the transom befor installing the new motor.

Here in Marathon there is a clean-up going on to get rid of old boats that are abandoned. I have watched two V-20 stuffed into dumpsters and taken to the dump. It is a shame that more folks do not bring back the run-down hulls that are out there. I hear Florida has a new way to get a new title for an abandoned boat and it may be an option.

So this is an indorsment of the V-20 for the Key's waters (and probably anywhere else too).
