I was going to post the same responce as the TinMan last night, then I got sidetracked.....I don't know how important the DEADRISE is if you're purchasing that kind of bracket.....what is equally [or more] important is the angle of the TRANSOM. Best way I can describe it, in laymans terms, is if you took a level and held it VERTICALLY against the transom cap, and PLUMBED the level downward, there would be a space of perhaps 3-4" between the level and the BOTTOM of the transom. That 3-4" is the ANGLE of the transom and like TinMan posted, it's around 13*. Might be better off to find that post by BS as mentioned, explains it better than I can, diagram also ;)
