			Did you ever ride your previous motor w/o the foil? If you did and you felt you needed it you will probably want it again. They do help put a boat up on plane faster if thats your goal.My previous boat with a 150 merc had it and that boat launched onto plane instantly. W/O the foil would of been a couple of seconds more and would not have made any difference to me.
 If I wanted to affect performance and I was going to do something to improve it on my V20 it would be with trim tabs not a foil. Lot more flexability, more performance and the ability to adjust for load side to side. In following seas I could lift them and not have to worry about the push down/slow rise effect foils and forgotten extended trim tabs can cause. Just my opinion of course, and I do realize they cost a lot more but they are easily worth the difference
