			There's also an old Navy trick for corrosion on brass and copper. Clean it completely, then make your connections, then coat the whole thing with clear lacquer. 
I've used this brand http://www.super-spray.com/prods/76.html  on several things and it works very well. But truthfully, just about any clear lacquer spray will work just as well.  As long as you don't disturb the coating after it dries it will last for years with no corrosion on the metal it's protecting. Just remember to make your connections before you coat the terminals.
