Did you use a composite core for the re-do ? If you did heck don't cap it, per Skool and the Guy's here I did not cap mine looks great to this day..
Only problem is my neighbour cat crawls in to sleep during the night when it rains and could see a few claw marks on it .. I love cats so she is excused ...
