Did you do the work or have someone do it for you? I have a poly tank, so hopefully I won't have to replace it. What kind of tank did you have?
I had a poly tank as well, but both the pickup and seal around the gauge were leaking. I probably could have repaired the tank but I have 6 more years on my engine warranty and I did not want to voide it. Two times last year the engine got an water in fuel error code that the dealer had to clear.

It was a simple tank replacement. No foam-in, just lifted the floor, unscrewed the straps and removed. The only thing I did not replace was the 1.5 in fill. I could not get the old one out, but it says A2 on it, so I should be ok.
