I'm just sick of hearing about it. We live in New England. It's going to snow in the winter. Just something to deal with. The news media are the ones that hype it all up and get everyone worked into a frenzy. It's good for ratings because the more they forecast gloom and doom, the more folks will stay glued to their news stations to get updates. People will watch the same reports from the worst hit areas over and over repeatedly. I can bet that if one weather person on any particular station were to go against all the others and say that this storm wasn't going to be any big deal (even if they were correct), they'd be out of a job in very short order.
MJ gets sucked into all the weather hype.

Chum is absolutely right. Long Island gets less snow than you guys but the media hype is the same. They're calling 2"-5" by this evening and there is about 2" right now. There is more dirt and salt on the roads right now than snow, every third Hummer on the road is spun off over a curb and in the woods. Can't stand the morons in their little [and big]SUV that think they are invincible to winter driving. Every gas station in town is full w/ customers and the milk , bread and canned goods are flying off the shelves......fools.....I think I'll go get my boy out of school a little early and we'll go play on the quad
