may not be any fishing for me. Went out floundering this morning with a buddy, spent 4 hours on the water. Caught 5 flounder, 1 Keeper 18". started to head home and she went from cruising 3700 RPM to 2200 RPM quick, kept losing power, and then shut off. Before I had a chance to think, looked at the gauges and OH CHIT!!!!! 220 degrees (170 normal). boat shut itself off and turned around to STEAM everywhere. Then a big loud splash and Anti freeze went blowing and spraying everywhere. Well when the motor cover finally cooled down enought to take her off.....BLEW and I mean BLEW the main 2" hose from the block to the thermostat in half. So i am guessing the thermostat stuck shut and the hose was the weak link when the water in the block reached boiling stage....

So the coast guard was right behind me doing a safety inspection and they thought we were on fire...due to the steam. well they were nice enough to tow me a mile to the marina....
gettin her fixed should be pretty easy, but just hope there was no engine damage.

any thoughts from the mechanics??? got to get her fixed soon the tourney starts on Saturday morning....
