I have a friend looking to repower from a yammy 150 s stroker, to the new 200f, the lightest 4 stroke 200 made, they say.

Still 90 pounds more than my old merc, & enough to all but swamp my v20...

I assume it will just get worse but have no real experience with this trouble myself (yet), sounds like a car starter that has bad contacts, they just keep getting worse.

what brand of motor? Sounds like a relay clicking, so it may be the wiring to the pump, or the pump, you should be able to follow the wires from the trim motor to the relay. See if you can...
