Re: Manual Wiper
BR, I have a camper top on my boat, not a bimini, and my electric wiper is the only way I can see when I'm out in the rain. I have not tried rainex, but I don't need to with the wiper! I wouldn't be...

MJ, if you can't find a use for that grand, give it to me and I'll endorse your support for the bracket-ed lifestyle. ;D

Re: Pics From Today
I need to update my toolbox, I like the sound of a flexible drill bit.
The cleat setup on the bow of my boat is the same as yours with a cleat amidships and an eye on the starboard and port side,...

Re: Chart Holder
If you check a recent thread on trailers, I think you'll see that there's a good chance my trailer will disintegrate before I make it down there. Otherwise, I'd be tarpon/permit/barracuda fishing on...

Re: New 150
Thanks. I did not get the platforms (yet), but they are only *:-X like $500-600 more. I can always add them. So long as the bracket gets here before the spring rush, I should have my boat back early...

Re: Pics From Today
Looks great. The chart holder is cool. Did you put the bolts/screws in from the inside of the cabin? Tight space to work in. Also, what do you use the extra set of cleats on the bow for?

Re: New 150
The 150 is carbed, I couldn't justify the extra $$$ for a DI or 4-stroke on a repowered hull worth less than 1/2 of even the carbed motor (paid $7100 for the Johnson) and more like 1/3 the value of...

New 150
With respect and honors, my Sea Drive is moving on. I bought a new '04 Johnson 150 today and an armstrong bracket w/30" setback. I'm dropping the boat off next weekend to have the Sea Drive removed...

Re: Repowered with 200hp
Good info knight. I've located a leftover '04 Johnson carbed 150 for $7,200, which should push my boat to around 40 mph. But I'm still toying w/the OX66. 200hp seems like a lot for my old girl, but I...

What's the second gas fill fitting for? Are you setting up a remote oil fill for a VRO tank? That would be nice.

Re: Rod Holders
My guess for the 5th rod holder is what I'm doing this spring: on my full transom it will hold my bait cutting tray leaving the other four holders to do their jobs.

Re: '85 Step on eBay > full transom
NO conversion necessary. This is a beaut just waiting for a good owner, a stainless or armstrong bracket and a repower. Poor OMC Sea Drive. Another one that lasted pretty long if it truly ran until...
