Transom

Maybe you could close the transom in right in front of the motor. I have two that I have done this to and it looked good. Just make sure you have enough room to tilt the motor all the way up.

Tank cleaning

I emptied mine and used a heated power washer. That heat broke all kinds of varnish gunk out. I took them to have some fittings welded on the end about a inch up since the dip tubes had pin holes...

I don't want to make permanent seat but I have looked at the Todd folding chairs. I thought it would be neat to have a bow rider for cruising around. I am going to ask my neighbor who builds boats...

Saddle tanks

I plugged the dip tubes in my V because there were pinholes in the tubes and started to suck in air. I steamed the tanks and had the weld shop put a nipple 1" from the bottom of the tank.

Holding off on getting tanks just got the report from boat mechanic 70 psi on 4 cylinders and 90 on the other two. So its rebuild time.

Two tanks under seat boxes is a route I was thinking about but I did not want to spend the money to make the boxes and buy two tanks. The two 24 gallon saddle tanks are not much different in height...
