high voltage
I had a 1988 135hp merc with a similar rectifier setup and no voltage regulator and the voltage would run up as high as 16V. I was worried that it would mess with the electronics but it never did....

Still have my 1989 anniversary edition V20 with a 92 Merc 150hp, still loving it and using it every other week in the Southern California Pacific Ocean! I keep thinking of putting a 4 stroke on it...

Agreed totally, going on 5 years with my first V20 with a 92 merc 150hp and am truly enjoying the boat, I keep thinking I should get something bigger but the V20 is the perfect size for now.:nic:.
