God I love the Internet and I really enjoy your help. Reelapeelin, the figures you gave me show me the right direction here I think. If your Honda is 478 and the E-tec is 516, I guess the difference...

Cheers everyone, enjoy reding old and newer thoughts on performance. Now a question I probably asked before but I can`t find it now. Does anyone know the weightlimit on an outboard for my 1988 V20...

Thanks a lot everyone. I sure appreciate your help and I could not wait to measure the shaft as advised and I found out that it is closer to 20" than anythong else. The motor sits quiet low it seems....

Gee thanks a bunch for your help. Iīll just have to pull the cover of the boat and measure I guess. And I will post some pictures as soon as I get an idea how it is done!
