Thanks sorry to hear of the black goo.....I know the transom is good as it was rebuilt/ replaced 2 years ago and it is solid no doubt. Will be adding the jack plate then back to fishing

Im having the same issue right now on my 140...

Im having the same issue right now on my 140 rude. I have ran a 6 gallon tank still had the problem....Cleaned the carb, changes the plugs, etc.....I just put some sea foam in and ran it for about 30...
