Tachometer shorting out
Couldn't get the boat to start. Pulled the tach wire off the neg post of the coil and she started right up. So what have I got? I guess a short in the tach or the wiring? Anyone ever have this...

Mine runs cooler than that also, about 160 or 180, I forget the no. on the thermostat. I was told tho that if you keep it cool it helps cut down on the salt build-up. I would suspect something...

Went out last night and hit 4600-4700 rpm's at WOT with that 21 pitch prop according to my engine tach.I think the I/O's can spin a bigger pitch than OB's however no where near the speed. Only 32...

Got the denso's in my 78 yamaha 650 XS motorcycle. With that old engine they were the only plugs that would keep carbon from building up too much. No need for them in the I/O.

Hey MS, My 79 had a pvc pipe running from bow to stern but it didn't drain the cuddy which had it's own drain hole. What I had to do to get the cuddy to drain was to put a snake on a drill and start...

I'm not sure of WOT rpm's but I know I'm over 4000.
I'm a little gun shy of full throttle but next time I'm out I'll check it out.
