New Prop...

Here's my buddy's new 17p 4-blader from Power Tec Props...started w/ Mirage 3-blade, then PT 4-blade x 18p, but this one looks like the one...numbers great and no issues

After we changed the prop, while testin' I took this...would you raise/lower the motor on this boat?...

Isn't that plate supposed to be below water on plane, isn't the water pickup below that?

Hard to tell which plate we are looking at, in the above pic you can see 3.

Depends on the numbers??

When I trim out the motor at WOT I can get mine looking like that also, and thats when its at its fastest! ;)

I'd bet that with that 4 blade prop you could go up at least one hole without loosing any bite. Only way to find out is do it...

Re: New Prop...

Slot, I think you're right...when he 1st got this boat, motor was UP two notches from where pictured...had slight ''rumble'' at certain rpms, so they dropped the two holes...that was w/ 3-blader...now w/ 4-blader and ''rumble'' gone, I believe it should go back up the two holes... :) ...
